Sailboat Commission

PXL_20210214_152843932 1000x.jpg

A misty sailboat morning commissioned by a lover of the sea, sails and Cape Cod.

This largest work I’ve painted (14x18) began in September 2020 and completed in February 2022 for a client with roots in the Seaport and Falmouth.

The luscious and surrealist-invoking mood paired with palette knife textures were the foundation for the work.

How It’s Made:
-needle hair brushes
-scratches into the surface
-palette knives
-rulers and reworking
-a very steady hand
